The 39th annual Newbury Spring Festival will launch on February 28 at The Watermill, with performances from special guests Palisander & Rust and Stardust.

The festival returns this year with a wide varitety of musical performances from across the spectrum with some of the best orchestras in the world including the Bournemouth Symphony, Royal Philharmonic and Moscow Philharmonic.

But it’s not just top-of-the-range classical music on show. Oh no sir! This year there will also be performances from the Dutch Swing College Band, Black Dyke brass band, and Indian-style Bollywood Brass Band.

Worbey and Farrell will be on hand to combine sparky comedy with incredible piano playing, and there will also be Ghanaian drumming and dancing from Kakatsitsi.

Also, this year’s Young Artists Programme focus on instrumentalists representing many different musical genres on trombone, flute, organ, piano, cello and guitar. All this comes on top of your chance to spot the next big thing with the John Lewis Young Stars.
