Swindon band Kicking Edgar to release new single this month

Kicking Edgar - an alternative rock band formed in Swindon - will be dropping their new single this September.

Kicking Edgar formed in Swindon in 2018.

The band will be dropping their new single ‘Fever Dream’ on Monday 5 September.

Recent local festival dates and gigs around the West Country have started to put Kicking Edgar on the radar of the discerning underground music fan and mainstream rock fans alike.

Their influences are said to range from the obvious to the eclectic, from grunge to funk to rock to punk and more.

A spokesperson for the band said: “Kicking Edgar have created a tight, punchy and distinct sound - one which is best described as the alternative to alternative rock. Trademark heavy guitar riffs are woven around funky bass lines, incendiary back beats are slashed through with razor wire guitars and everything is topped off with energetic vocals and a general air of attitude and swagger.

“It is a combination that sees power matched with poise, groove with grace, and the heavy with the heartfelt. Add to that their burgeoning reputation for outstanding live performances and you can see why Kicking Edgar’s sonic stock is well and truly on the rise.”

After the success of the previous single In My Head, Kicking Edgar have embarked on a scatter gun release schedule. Fever Dream, which drops next week, will be the latest installment.
