Thai food with a side of soul

Salisbury Thai restaurant, ‘Giggling Squid’, is pleased to announce the launch of its exclusive Soul Sessions to take place every first Wednesday of every month from September 6.

From 6.30pm until around 8.30pm, piano maestro Jonathan Fashole-Luke will play two sets with a small interval in the cosy ‘Library room’. The set will include a varied repertoire from jazz, right through to imaginative re-workings of popular songs. This evening of easy-listening music is set to create the perfect ambiance for guests to enjoy Giggling Squid’s innovative cocktail menu and signature Thai dishes. Jonathan’s musicianship and versatility has led him to play high profile events at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and BBC’s Later with Jools Holland, whilst also performing at various acclaimed Jazz Festivals across Europe as well as Glastonbury, Boomtown and Bestival. As a talented instrumentalist, each Soul Session promises to be music to the ears, quite literally, with new artists welcomed along the way. From delicious curries, salads, rice and noodles, Giggling Squid’s menu lends itself to the distinct sharing culture of Thailand, and if music is the food of love, play on.
