Swindon band's new single reflects shockwaves felt by Honda closure

‘We wanted to write a something that had an air of hope to it,’ say indie four-piece Daydream Runaways ahead of the release of their brand-new single.

After securing airplay on BBC Wiltshire, Swindon band Daydream Runaways shine a spotlight on the closure of the Honda factory and the shockwaves felt by their community with ‘Closing the Line’ (out 25 October).

The band say, “We wrote this song as a reaction to the news of the closure of the Swindon Honda factory and the shock-waves it sent through the community.

“With all the apathy surrounding this news and that of Brexit, we wanted to write something that spoke for those families affected and had an air of hope to it.”

Closing the Line will be released Friday 25 October and available on Spotify.
