Following its premiere at The North Wall’s Alchymy festival in April, Lewis Doherty’s explosive debut solo show returns to Oxford, hot on the heels of five star reviews and sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Detective Jay Walker is dead, and with no leads and a case colder than…ice. Lewis Doherty plays his ex-partner Patrick ‘Nobody calls me Patrick’ Wolf, back in town with a vengeance and ready to bust some imaginary heads. Armed with nothing but his own body and a chair, Lewis brings to life thirty characters, car chases, and multi-man brawls in this genre-smashing send-up of Hollywood neo-noir.
Lewis Doherty trained at Oxford School of Drama. Since graduating he has starred in multiple theatrical productions, commercials, and television programs (most recently BBC3’s Hood Documentary). He’s also a member of the award-winning, critically-acclaimed sketch foursome Laughing Stock which Fringe Biscuit called “the best sketch show at the fringe.”
John Hoggarth isCo‐Director of The North Wall Arts Centre in Oxford. As a director, hehas a reputation for nurturing comedy talent, with past collaborations leading to a So You Think You’re Funny? award and BBC New Talent award. His most recent show, Monica Dolan’s The B*easts, was nominated in the 2018 Olivier Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre.
