Leading contemporary instrumentalist Partha Bose comes to Swindon for a Sitar masterclass this Friday

Widely recognised as a leading contemporary instrumentalist, Partha Bose will be providing a Sitar recital alongside Tabla player Indrani Mullick at Swindon Dance on Friday March 10.

Partha represents the Maihar Gharana, or school of Hindustani or North Indian classical music, which is well-known around the world for producing maestros of yesteryear including Pandit Ravi Shankar and Ustad Ali Akbar.

Since the age of six Partha Bose has had a Sitar in his hands and has been performing for the past 46 years, receiving critical acclaim from critics of Hindustani classical music in India and abroad over the past two decades especially.
