TV Presenter, Social Media and PR Expert Gina Akers will be speaking at Swindon event ‘Amplify Your Voice’ to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Gina has presented on ITV, BBC, Sky News and shopping TV. She has presented on ITV’s This Morning and Alan Titchmarsh  Show. She is an expert presenter and researcher for BBC One/Two show Fake Britain. She was on Channel 4 TV’s The Salon daily with around 2.5 million viewers and she writes a blog for HELLO! Magazine online. Gina has recently been announced as Head Judge and Key Note Speaker for the UK Blog & Influencer Awards. Gina said: “I was asked to be involved in ‘Amplify Your Voice’ for International Women’s Day and agreed because I believe in equality and making change for better. I think it is important that everyone has equal opportunities to reach their full potential, and I feel that everyone should have the chance to achieve their dreams without unnecessary and unfair barriers in the way.” ‘Amplify Your Voice’ has been organised to celebrate International Women’s Day 2018 which is a global event. It will feature a panel of inspirational women to talk about current issues facing women. They will be sharing their personal experiences of pushing for change and how they #PressforProgress. The evening is called ‘Amplify Your Voice’ as the speakers will be drawing attention to issues important to them (amplify their voices), and each talk will educate, empower and inspire the audience members, so that everyone is encouraged to speak out. The event is taking place on Thursday March 8 at 18.30 at Swindon’s Central Library. Gina’s talk will focus on empowerment and hidden strength with references to harassment and bullying.
