The Henley Festival is delighted to announce a partnership with BBC Music in the English Regions to showcase upcoming local artists and under-the-radar talent.

BBC Music will be supporting artists performing in the Bedouin Tent including Cecil, Ed & Ollie Goodale and Lucina, on BBC Radio Berkshire and online with live performances, photos and interviews.

Ed Goodale will perform music from his debut album “The Gift” with brother drums. Having been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, which he refers to as ‘a gift’, Ed Goodale has been a long-time supporter of The National Autistic Society with proceeds of his single “Symptoms” going to the charity.

Lucina is a 27 year old singer/songwriter from High Wycombe, who was spotted aged 22 at Open Mic UK competition in 2012.  Cecile is a Berkshire born singer-songwriter who has been plaing music since the age of 5 and recently featured on BBC Radio 2.

Linda Serck, who presents a local music show on BBC Radio Berkshire, said: “Supporting unsigned, under the radar or undiscovered talent is always a thrill as you have the privilege of nurturing upcoming artists at a grass roots level and watch them grow. I’m over the moon that these artists are given a platform at the Henley Festival and I look forward to seeing them perform.”

BBC Music is an umbrella term used by the BBC to collect together its music output. It is collaborating with BBC English Regions to showcase festivals around the country.

Henley festival takes place from 5 – 9 July.
