Ever wanted to tread the boards and take up acting? The Shoebox Theatre in Swindon is offering multiple tuition options for the budding actors, theatre buffs and the technically minded amongst you.

The Shoebox Theatre actor training programme has so much to offer - from masterclasses and 1-2-1 tuition to courses for ages 14+ and adults.

For example, Monday’s will be given over to classes for young people who are interested in acting. With a focus on contemporary theatre practice, students will be introduced to a range of drama techniques and theatrical forms including physical theatre, comedy, devising, improvisation and working with text.

Tuesdays will provide classes for Actors aged 18+ and are aimed at those who have had previous theatre training - you might be on a year out before Drama School or perhaps you want to continue your training with us as an adult or are ready to move up from our Beginners courses.
You will develop further insight into established methods and techniques, through practice, critical reflection and in-class performances - these workshops are both practical and challenging.
And if you want to take part in something more advanced, a one-day workshop led by Aaron Parsons on Saturday 16 September will allow you to gain a practical insight into Theatre Directing. Including working with text, starting with script analysis, as well as rehearsal techniques, guiding actors and staging a scene.

This masterclass will take place from 10am-4pm and is suitable for everyone, from the beginner just starting out, to the more experienced director looking to reinvigorate their practice. Cost of this masterclass is £30.
