Do you know any mini ninjas?

Keep your kids entertained with sushi-making classes throughout August at YO! Sushi in Oxford and Reading.

July 2017: YO!, the Japanese street food and sushi restaurant, launched a ‘Mini Ninja Sushi School’ with a programme of classes that will keep kids busy and entertained throughout the summer holidays. A great mix of facts and fun, kids are guaranteed to be ‘on a roll’ in no time! Budding chefs will be taken through three recipes during the hour-long class: Cucumber Maki, Salmon Nigiri, and California rolls (vegetarian options also available). A YO! chef will be on hand to help children make their sushi, master the art of using chopsticks and provide them with a range of Japanese ingredients to tantalise their taste buds. This is a fantastic opportunity to get children actively involved in the creation of delicious and healthy food, and also something a little different. At the end of each class students will receive a certificate, chef’s hat, and crayons in a very special YO! bag. All the dishes made on the day can also be packaged up to take away, along with recipe cards of each dish, so parents can sample their children’s new-found sushi skills at home. Classes will be available in 50 sites across the UK, hosted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11am from August 1 to August 30. And, at just £15 per child, parents won’t want to miss the chance for their kids to master the art of Japanese sushi making this summer holiday. For classes in Oxford, click here.
