Crowd funding for TeamRock employees let go before Christmas surpasses £50,000

After the news that TeamRock, printers of Classic Rock, Metal Hammer and Prog magazines, have gone into administration on Monday 19 December, the musical community has rallied to raise money for the 73 employees left without a job before Christmas.

The crowd funding drive, organised by Orange Goblin frontman Ben Ward and Sandie Soriano, has already blown past its £20k target in only a day, and is now clear of the £50k mark. Check out the page here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ukrockcommunity

73 members of the Team Rock staff were told that the company is going into liquidation and that they are being made redundant with immediate effect with ZERO pay.

These are good, hard-working, committed people that through Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Prog Rock, TeamRock Radio and more, have supported the rock and heavy metal scene in this country for decades and now the rock community are pulling together to help give something back.

We here at The Ocelot never like to see a fellow arts publication suffer, big or small, so if you can help towards giving our fellow journalists something this Christmas, please donate to the page below: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ukrockcommunity
