Throughout this course you will explore advanced improvisation skills and comic characters. You will work with the masks of Commedia Dell’Arte, the traditional Italian improvised performance style, exploring comic archetypes, spontaneity, comic timing, and developing moments of prepared comic action.
The Shoebox Acting Classes for Improvers are aimed at those who want to brush up or develop their technique, those who are taking a year out before Drama School or those who are perhaps returning to acting classes after a break.
You will develop further insight into established methods and techniques, through practice, critical reflection and in-class performances - these workshops are both practical and challenging.
The next improvers course, Comedia Dell’Arte and Improvised Performance starts on 25 April.
