Classic Ibiza reunites with local wellbeing trust for Bowood House return

Classic Ibiza will be returning to Bowood House for another weekend of Balearic-infused house music, in support of the JGM Trust.

Classic Ibiza will again take place within the grounds of Bowood House on Friday 21 & Saturday 22 July.

The weekend will see over five hours of Balearic-infused house music, headlined by the 32-piece Urban Soul Orchestra (USO).

Organisers behind the family-friendly concert are pleased to announce the event’s continued support for The JGM Trust - which was established in memory of Joshua Gareth Moon, a talented musician, and Classic Ibiza sound engineer, who lost his battle with mental illness last year.

Launched by Josh’s family, The JGM Trust seeks to continue his legacy by supporting people as they navigate their musical careers.

His family said Josh’s love for music was matched by his passion for helping people realise their potential by encouraging them to push the boundaries of their talent in a caring and generous way.

During its first year, while working towards charity status (which is currently pending), The JGM Trust has conducted research into how it can support the wellbeing of those within the industry, specifically those working in a freelance capacity.

A spokesperson for the Trust added: “Josh had also amassed a large array of specialist equipment and, reflecting his generous spirit, the process has begun to find ways to use it to help others.”

Josh’s Mum, Susanna Goldsworthy said: “Josh quietly came alongside so many people, offering his support and encouragement. Even when wrestling with his own debilitating emotional struggles, his first concern was to do whatever he could to care for and help others – such was his beautiful heart.

“As his family, the devastating loss we feel is and always will be indescribable but through our heartbreak, we feel passionately committed to try to honour him and his name through our care and concern for the wellbeing of other musicians.”

The Classic Ibiza team say there will be various fundraising initiatives taking place on the evenings, including a £2.50 donation from every programme sold, a recommended £5 donation from press and guest-list entries, as well as collection points at all entry and exit gates.

Further funds will be raised at The JGM Trust shop, selling a range of fun merchandise. A GoFundMe page has also been established for those people wanting to donate beforehand.

Classic Ibiza’s Lisa Ward said: “Josh was an integral member of our team, but first and foremost an incredible human being. His passion for music and humility shone through every time you met him. With our show on the Saturday already sold out, we hope we can raise considerable funds to help to continue his legacy.”

Gates open at Bowood House at 5.30pm, with the show starting with a Chill-Out DJ Set. Former Pacha Ibiza resident, DJ Jose Luis then takes control of the decks for his Afro/Latin House Set. Next up, USO and DJ Goldierocks take centre stage for the Sundowner Set, followed by Goldierocks’ House DJ Set. The show then reaches a rapturous crescendo as USO return to the stage for the Dance Set, accompanied by an awesome laser & light show. This year’s concert includes 15 new arrangements in an orchestral programme of over 30 house classics.

Parking for the event will be free, and there are no booking fees.

Attendees are invited to bring their own picnics or visit the on-site street-food vendors and San Miguel Bar.

Ticket prices for adults (over 18s) are priced at £48, tickets for children (aged 5–17) will cost £24, and under 5s go free.
