Bristol band return home to debut latest single

Bristol band, Urban Lions, have been tearing through the undergrounds of roots and dub and are now ready to come up on tour.

The live band and sound system will be heading to The Golden Lion, Gloucester Road, October 20 to debut their latest single See Me Rise.

Urban Lions would definitely be the kind of band that if I heard playing, would stop and investigate further. They’re a band you’d most likely stumble across in Green Man’s Chai Wallahs tent, or The Bimble Inn at Glastonbury, to then find yourself loured in dancing with some other converts. It’s all bless.

In addition to their ensemble, their 2017 tour has also included a horn section and Jamaican MC to accentuate Urban Lions’ authentic roots and dub foundation.

Having been signed by Amsterdam based label Earth Works Records in 2016, Urban Lions have expanded their wave lengths all across the UK and will be returning to Bristol following a succession of festival sets earlier this year.

Urban Lions’ upcoming gig at The Golden Lion also coincides with the release date of See Me Rise, which will be available online followed by a Christmas release on vinyl.

Tickets are £4 and can be purchased on the door.
