A unique blend of sounds nodding toward Honey for Petzi and Heavy Vegetable, with a bit of Slint and Shellac thrown in for good measure.

Bristol boys Tim, Tom and Simon (aka Hoggs Bison) have taken off on a European tour following success in the UK.

Taking influence from math rock elders such as King Crimson and Steve Reich, Hoggs Bison have encapsulated a progressive combination of indie rock, dad music and jazz.

There’s something very accessible about this trio. They’ve got all the qualities of grunge on point, but it isn’t so much aggressive as it intensely soothing. Okay so for example I’m listening to Bob’s Secret Cache, and as edgy as it is, the song’s really pacifying at the same time.

For those curious, and so you should be, listen to them yourself by clicking here.

We’re wishing them a wonderful time gallivanting around France, the Netherlands and Germany. We’re looking forward to catching up with Hoggs Bison back in Ocelotshire.
