This year marks Wootton Bassett Light Operatic Society’s (WBLOS) fortieth anniversary, which guests are invited to celebrate at the Memorial Hall.
The festivities began with the adventures of Little Red Riding in January where a sweet young maiden defeated the wicked wolf, the bossy queen and the daft herald to find love.
Then it moved on to wet weather but plenty to smile about while dancing under an umbrella as Singin’ in the Rain put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Not content with all that Joseph told us all about his amazing technicolour dreamcoat and made us cry, dance and sing in the company of the WBLETS (WBLOS’s youngsters)!
And now with Back to the Future, September 28 and September 29, they are about to travel through time to explore some of the most melodious, poignant and hilarious moments in their society’s history. Not only will guests bw cruising the decades, but they will be educated in the mysteries of time with the help of two comperes who are the tour guides.
Hourglass Enterprises, the alleged Time Cruise Company, may specialise in time travel but do they know enough about the twenty-first century to get everyone where they want to go?
There is only one way to find out and that is to come along for the most merrily musical journey of your life.
Concert coordinator, Kathy Sterry, said: “Travelling through time with such talented performers is like solving a puzzle while singing and dancing along the yellow brick road. You never know quite where you will end up but you know it will be tremendous fun.”
