Who's that making shoes in the middle of the night?

The Elves and the Shoemaker is coming to the Shoebox for Christmas!

Performed and written by Puppets4Peas, The Elves and the Shoemaker is a tiny twinkly show for Christmas, with music and puppetry, for early-years children and their families. It’s a playful re-boot of the popular children’s classic and will be performed at the Shoebox from December 15 2018.

Puppets4Peas is a freshly sprouted family theatre company set up by the respected director, performer and puppeteer, Marc Parrett. Marc has adapted a sizeable list of children’s theatre favourites over the years including The Little Red Hen, The Enormous Turnip and 3 Little Pigs. This year, he made his Sydney Opera House debut, singing and dancing in the nursery school favourite, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. Marc is a sought-after puppet maker too and in 2017 he conjured up a humungous flying Aslan puppet, and an army of ghoulish monsters for Leeds Playhouse’s production of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

The Elves and the Shoemaker, which will premiere at Shoebox, is set to be a far more diminutive and intimate venture.
