Training for aspiring young actors offered by Mandala Theatre Company in Oxford

Mandala, Oxford’s newest theatre company, has some exciting opportunities for young people to get involved.

From November to December this year and from April to June 2017, a series of weekly creative theatre workshops are being held to explore the techniques used by the company when making its groundbreaking shows.

Mandala uses the power of performance to change young lives, build communities and foster social justice.  The workshops will give 16-25 year-olds the chance to be part of

Mandala Young Company which will be creating a new production in 2017, which will be performed at international drama festivals in France and Greece in Summer 2017.

Mandala took its first play, Night Light, to an international festival in Grenoble last year where it received a standing ovation. The play is currently touring the UK.

The weekly workshops take place on Thursdays from 8-10pm at Ark T Centre, Crowell Road, Oxford OX4 3LN. Cost for the seven week course which runs until 15 December is £70, concessons £56. Cost for the nine-week course (27 April to 22 June 2017) is £90, concessions £72. Bursary places are available.
