The Flower At Oxford Playhouse

Oxford Playhouse and Evolve artist, Daniel Naddafy presents a new production for young audiences. The Flower, which opens on Wednesday 8 April at the Burton Taylor Studio, is part of the Oxford Playhouse Young Players Festival.

Brigg lives in a small grey room in a large grey city. There is no colour until one day Brigg comes across a picture of a flower and some seeds in an old junk shop. Planting, watering and caring for the seeds, sets off a chain of events that change Brigg’s world for ever.

Daniel Naddafy became an Oxford Evolve Artist in 2017 and predominantly creates theatre for young audiences. His inspiration might have from his first theatre experience, at the age of 14, performing in the Oxford Playhouse Christmas pantomime.

Oxford based actor Andy Owens plays Brigg (Swallows and Amazons, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Creation Theatre; Peter Pan, Imagine Productions, Grimm’s Fairytales, Guildford Shakespeare Company). The production is adapted and directed by Daniel Naddafy and designed by Adam Nee with sound by Johnny Tomlinson.
