A group of Year 7 students from Banbury Academy will be cutting the ribbon on a brand new flexible gallery space at The Story Museum Friday December 1.

The students are attending the opening performance of the Museum’s new family Christmas Show Jingle’s Magic Sleigh as part of a three-year partnership with the Museum funded through Children & the Arts’ Start Programme.

The new space has been redeveloped with a generous grant from WREN’S FCC Community Action Fund and other donations. The new ‘Link Room’ will be used for a variety of purposes from hosting regular workshops such as the Museum’s popular Comics Club to being available for hire by Community Groups.

Tish Francis, Capital Director at The Story Museum, said: “We’re really excited about our early Christmas present! This new space is going to make a huge difference to us, particularly once we start the major capital redevelopment of the rest of our site.

“WREN have supported every ‘Chapter’ of The Story Museum’s redevelopment and in keeping with the message of our Christmas show this year – we’d like to say a really big thank you! We’ve still got a way to go until our transformation is complete but this is a great boost.”
