Shoppers will be feeling the heat, when the Swindon Chilli Fiesta returns for the 4th year in a row, with even more chilli mayhem than before!
The event is FREE and will take place at Wharf Green, from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm on Saturday 29 July. The event is being organised once again by inSwindon BID Company, the town’s centre Business Improvement District and Chilli Fest UK.
Some of the best chilli producers from across the UK will be there to offer the very best of British chilli and will tempt you with fabulous chilli jams, chilli dips, chilli chutney, chilli chocolate and chilli beverages. For the less adventurous amongst us, there are some flavoursome but mild cooking sauces available too, but if you’re feeling brave, there will be extreme sauces and dips to try and take home. There’s even a range of chilli cocktails, beers and cider, which are not for the fainthearted!
Visitors can expect a day of chilli madness with lots of goodies to eat, drink, taste, and buy! Plus, LIVE entertainment from local singers and musicians.
Alexandra, Chilli Fest UK Organiser said: “You will be even more amazed by the vast array of chilli food and drinks on offer. Get ready to be “wowed’ and experience the full spectrum of flavours that these wonderful chillies provide. One of my favourites is the mouth-watering Chew Chew BBQ – you will love their tasty chilli meats and spicy fusions of sauces and it will leave you wanting more. If you’re thirsty, you can wash it all down with the exclusive chilli drinks, such as chilli mojito, chilli tequila beer and even chilli cider will be on offer”.
If you’re an avid chilli fan, you can even take part in the ultimate Clash of the Titans Chilli Eating Contest – a competition that is not for the faint-hearted which allows contestants to take on some of the hottest chillies in the world. If you would like to enter the competition, please make yourself known to our Chilli Fiesta host on the day before the starting time of 3pm.
It really is a day out not to be missed! Let the chilli mayhem commence!
