Sheer Music are delighted to follow up their sold-out Frank Turner show at Level III with an equally as hot ticket, Ginger Wildheart, iconic front man of British rock band The Wildhearts.
For Sheer Music’s upcoming gig, Ginger will be heading The Vic March 8.
Ginger has had many stage guises, Silver Ginger 5, Mutations, Sonic Circus among others, but he is best loved and known for fronting The Wildhearts throughout the 90s, releasing 8 studio albums, knocking Top Of The Pops for 6 and touring the world, regularly gracing the front of the British press musical tabloids.
This is another show expected to sell out very quickly, so Sheer Music made the decision to place the show at The Victoria. Unrivalled in town for sound quality, and having an intimate atmosphere, The Vic was the only option.
Tickets have been set at £15 for the whole tour, of which the poster is attached. We’re obviously delighted that we’re on a national tour poster, and one that will feature in Rock Sound, Kerrang! and Another. Sheer have spent a lot of money being involved with the national advert campaign, so this is a real boost for Swindon identity.
Ginger will be performing his Ghost In The Tanglewood album, which was a Pledge campaign from last year – details of that can be found by clicking here.
Support for the show comes from Sheer and Swindon regular, Oxygen Thief. The Xtra Mile signed artist is making the short trip down the M4 from Bristol for this one off show. AKA Barry, is well known locally, and being such a super fan of The Wildhearts, was a natural fit for the support.
The act opening the show to be announced, but will certainly be local Swindon act.
