  1. Felting with Suzie Gutteridge

Five week course open to all levels and abilities. Discover a range of techniques and processes including both wet and needle felting using a range of different wools that culminate in the making of projects. For those with more experience, expand your skills as you explore your own ideas.

Mondays January 8 to March 19 (not February 12), from 7pm to 9pm, £84 (plus materials)

Suzie Gutteridge, the course instructor said: “Being passionate about the countryside, combining this with walking and collecting bits and pieces of wool attached to fences and branches along the way to “do something with”, I love experimenting with the use of a variety of wools, both prepared (ready washed and carded) and raw (straight from the sheep), colours and textures.  For me it’s about giving a natural material, often given little value, a rich new meaning.

“In each session, I encourage people to follow techniques demonstrated in a simple and straightforward way, helping them to develop work with their own creative flair.  I will support them through a range of techniques and processes, for example, experiencing the intrigue of creating a 3D piece from the initial laying out of layers of wool fibres, and the tactile and manipulative properties of differing wools.”

  1. Adult Contemporary Dance with Amie Hawker
