Real Betis eye loan deal for Man City's Oleksandr Zinchenko

Reports suggest that Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko has emerged as a loan transfer target for La Liga side Real Betis. The club has reportedly entered into negotiations with the Citizens for the 21-year-old according to Mundo Deportivo. Zinchenko had initially rejected a move to newly promoted Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer in a £16 million move. This is because the player believes he can stay and force his way into Pep Guardiola’s plan at the Etihad. I would bet against that among others at novibet.co.uk Zinchenko is currently a fringe player. However, he made 15 appearances in all competitions for the club last season. He joined Manchester City in 2016 after attaining a reputation as one of the most promising young players in Europe. He is primarily a midfielder but played at left-back most times in the course of the previous season due to injuries to Fabian Delph and Benjamin Mendy. The players have now returned to full fitness, and this has pushed Zinchenko further down the pecking order at the Etihad. The player played a part in City’s pre-season preparations. He came up against a tough Christian Pulisic in the game against Borussia Dortmund and he struggled in the game that ended in a defeat for the Citizens. Zinchenko is not keen on leaving Man City, therefore, a temporary move might suit him so that he can be allowed to continue his development. Real Betis under Setien have been impressive in the La Liga.  They finished 6th last season ensuring a place in the Europa League this season. Their style of play under Setien has seen them attract some decent crop of players. Betis have already acquired the likes of Sergio Canales and William Carvalho. They now have their eyes set on a loan move for Zinchenko, who would be a decent addition to the side if he can be tempted to join.
