“UK Punk’s dark lord”, Hugh Cornwell, has announced his show date at Chippenham’s Neeld Hall.

Hugh Cornwell is one of the UK’s finest songwriting talents and accomplished live performers.

His upcoming acoustic performance will feature songs spanning from his entire career of early Stranglers to the current day, including new and never before performed songs from his next studio album ‘Villains’.

As the original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in the British rock band The Stranglers, Hugh has enjoyed massive success.

With 10 hit albums and 21 Top Forty singles, Hugh has etched himself into Europe and the USA’s musical psyche with classic songs including ‘Peaches’, ‘No More Heroes’, ‘Golden Brown’, ‘Nice N’ Sleazy’, ‘Always the Sun’, and ‘Duchess’.

Cornwell’s last studio album ‘Totem and Taboo’ was released to rave reviews. Recorded at Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago, the album was engineered and mixed by the legendary Steve Albini.
