Pip Blom promise Swindon a Good Friday with a stop on their second UK tour

The rising indie rock foursome Pip Blom will be performing at Level III in Swindon THIS WEEK on Friday 14 April, with support from Misfires and Bradley Cowtan.

Fresh from what will be Pip Blom’s first live session with Marc Riley on BBC’s alternative music home, 6 Music, the Dutch indie rock foursome will be rolling into Swindon town for a night of thoroughly fresh contemporary guitar sounds.

It’s rare that a band’s rise is so meteoric. In the space between January of this year and now, the band have been featured on pretty much every indie music website worth knowing and - as evidenced by their live session - and have struck up a cosy relationship with the DJs of the BBC.

And that’s without mentioning their appearance on De Wereld Draait Door, the Netherland’s second most watched TV program and the country’s longest-running chat show. Impressive stuff for a group that was relatively nowhere this time last year.

These shows will be Pip Blom’s second, short stint of UK gigs and come fresh off the back of a European tour with Palm Beach indie kids Surfer Blood.

In support will be local Swindon talents Misfires, who aren’t too dissimilar from the headliners in the fact that they too have been making waves of late, appearing in various playlists by Spotify and playing shows with This Feeling - one of Noel Gallagher’s favourite promoters, nonetheless. Joining them will be fellow Swindonian Bradley Cowtan, whose chirpy acoustic rock is another reason for residents of the town to smile with pride.

Doors open at 19:30. Tickets are available from The Rolleston Arms on Commercial Road or from Level III’s website: leveliii.co.uk
