Newbury celebrates local artwork with annual Home Grown Exhibition

From Friday 16 June to Thursday 13 July, an assortment of artwork from local residents will be on display at New Greenham Arts, Newbury as part of the Corn Exchange’s annual Home Grown exhibition.

All pieces will have been created in workshops in the Corn Exchange’s Get Involved programme, and will be displayed alongside the work of their tutors.

Visitors will also be able to gain an insight into the Corn Exchange’s wider participatory programme, as the exhibition will feature art created in sessions linked to their Ageing Creatively strand of work for those over 55, as well as videos of performances from some of their youth groups.

The Get Involved programme offers regular art courses and one-off classes that allow you to develop your existing art skills, learn new techniques or try something completely new.

Kerrie Walker, the Corn Exchange’s Learning & Participation Administrator said: ‘I hope people will take inspiration from the pieces in this exhibition to get creative and we look forward to welcoming new participants in the exciting, expanded programme that we will be presenting in our Autumn Season’

The exhibition is FREE to view, and will be open to the public 10am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, between Friday 16 June and Thursday 13 July.
