The Deloreons will headline at the Picnic in the Close on Friday 24 August, supported by Just Us. The evening will end with fireworks set to music over the Cathedral.
The Deloreons are one of the UK’s most established party bands and was originally formed in Salisbury in 2005. They have since gone on to work at thousands of weddings and corporate functions throughout Europe. The band have also held residencies on board P&O and DFDS ferries and headed to the French Alps for two years running, playing huge party nights around various venues.

In 2012, The Deloreons headlined the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations in Salisbury with 10,000 people partying, singing and dancing along. The band then went on to sell out Salisbury City Hall for three years running with their 80s Party Nights and in 2017 headlined ‘Live at the Farm’ with 4,000 people attending as part of Salisbury Live.
Just Us is an eight-piece soul band playing soul music of the 60s, with all the energy and enthusiasm that makes their music a most exciting and unforgettable experience. With a driving three-piece rhythm section, keyboards and a big four-piece brass section led by the amazing voice of soul singer Jon Burton, Just Us has great stage presence and an unmistakable style.

There will also be live music at Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre from 12pm on Monday 27 August.
The Playhouse line up is as follows:
Cinnamon Jazz adds ambience with mellow, melodic, rhythmic jazz numbers from a repertoire of Latin, swing, ballads and light funk. This line-up is vocals/bass, guitar and drums with the option of sax.
Frockstars is a female duo with a difference - they’re not restricted by genres or themes and tailor their set to suit each event. Be it disco, soul or a good old sing along.
Jacques Desfontaines is a French Mauritian chanteur who sings songs by Yves Montand, Ella Fitzgerald, Charles Aznavour, Nat King Cole, Edith Piaf, Ray Charles, Madeleine Peroux, Diana Krall, Charles Trenet, Etta James, Marcel Mouloudji, Dean Martin, Richard Anthony and Frank Sinatra. Not to be missed!

Sagat Guirey duo will play a fusion of composed and improvised music. Featuring Sagat on guitar and Pete Maxfield on double bass.

Lucas Hardy is a singer-songwriter from Salisbury. His new album, This House, It Was A Home, blends his acoustic folk sound with a modern rock edge, through songs that start with full-on energy and then weave in stripped-back melancholic numbers.
Hopback Blues Band, still going strong after almost 30 years and returning to the Arts Centre! The band has seen many changes in personnel in that time, but fronted by Pete Sherburne and Trevor Kay, still plays the same brand of high-octane blues - come and enjoy!

The MeloDaemons have been playing their very special blend of Euro-Asian roots music since 2010 creating a tantalising mix of folk, jazz and reggae. With a triple-pronged attack of violin, diatonic accordion and clarinet/sax and a funktastic rhythm section of guitar, bass and Indian dholak, the MeloDaemons will get you on your feet.
Nick Harper, son of the legendary UK singer-songwriter Roy Harper, was born in London and raised in Wiltshire. Having played the guitar from the age of 10 and surrounded by the likes of Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour as he grew up, it was no surprise when Nick made his debut on his father’s Whatever Happened to Jugula? in 1985. 2018 finds Nick on tour playing songs requested by fans. He also performs A Wiltshire Tale at Salisbury Arts Centre on 14 and 15 September.
