Four tales in one show for families this Easter at the Oxford Playhouse


Four of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s classic children’s books are brought to life on stage in a single production by Freckle Productions. Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales comes to Oxford Playhouse for the Easter holidays from Monday 13 – Wednesday 15 April.

Tiddler, Monkey Puzzle, The Smartest Giant in Town and A Squash and a Squeeze – are woven together with live music, puppetry and a host of colourful characters. There’s so much going on! Is Tiddler telling the truth? Will Monkey find his mummy? Will George the Giant make friends? Can the old lady really squash and squeeze all those animals into her tiny house? Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales is created by the same team behind Stick Man Live seen at Oxford Playhouse last autumn.

Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales is part of The Young Players Festival, a three week season of productions for young audiences and young theatre makers which runs from Friday 27 March to Sunday 19 April The Young Players Festival is a celebration of inspiring work made by, with and for children & young people from across Oxfordshire.
