Dance à la Plage play their biggest ever show.

The indie-pop quartet Dance à la Plage will play two of their biggest live shows to date this autumn, including a homecoming show at O2 Academy Oxford on Sunday September 3.

Dance à la Plage, which translates as ‘Dance On The Beach’, are a band that is true to their name. Armed with a catalogue of catchy earworm-inducing melodies and upbeat lyrics, the unsigned act have been hard at work conquering dance floors across the country, and have supported an impressive array of artists in the process including: The 1975, Coasts and Professor Green. Armed with their latest single, ‘Fever’ (released 9th June), this summer-friendly funky track is set to bring Dance à la Plage even bigger and better things. After meeting at Leamington College in 2011 whilst studying a music practice course, Joe Hamilton (vocals, guitar), Harry Elkington (vocals, guitar), Tom Sullivan (bass) and Tom Howard (drums) have wasted no time in making their mark on the music industry. The band’s energetic sunshine-filled guitar-pop sound, which was initially inspired by acts like Two Door Cinema Club, Foals and Little Comets, is now imbued with their own distinctive twist after years of refining on the live circuit.

After entering the UK iTunes Top 20 Alternative Chart with their EPs A Short Stay At Clarence Pier and Flying High, performing at numerous festivals including Cornbury, Festival No. 6 and BeachBreak Live, clocking up over 750,000 YouTube streams and 500,000 Spotify plays to date, there is no denying that the band are now ready to take things to the next level. Dance à la Plage’s undeniable momentum shows no sign of slowing down, which is definitely something to make a song and dance about.
