Being a professional grumpy old woman is my dream!

On October 27, professional Grumpy Old Woman, Jenny Eclair will return to the Corn Exchange in Newbury by popular demand, with her hit show, How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane).

Following a sell-out tour in 2016, comedian, Splash survivor, amateur soup maker, and novice knitter Jenny Eclair has extended her hit tour into autumn 2017.

Jenny is younger than Madonna but eats crisps and likes wine. Semi –bearded and suffering from outbreaks of gout and hysteria, Eclair puts middle age under the microscope and decides whether to laugh, cry or buy a dachshund! You are all invited to join her, under the provision that you button your cardi up properly and wipe any lipstick off your teeth first.

Eclair was the first ever woman to win the Perrier Award for the best comedy act at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1995. Since then she has transferred her comedic skills to UK wide tours, theatre performances, and multiple television and radio shows.

Many will recognise Eclair from hit TV shows such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, the Grumpy Old Women series, the Grumpy Guides, Grumpy Holidays and It’s Grim up North, as well as her appearances on ITV’s Loose Women and This Morning.

Jenny originally trained as an actor, and has had parts in the likes of Holby City, The Bill and Al Murray’s Multiple Personality Disorder. Her talents have also extended to the stage where her theatre credits include The Grumpy Old Women Live, and West End hits, Steaming, Mum’s the Word and The Vagina Monologues.
