One of the leading male choirs in the UK will be performing at High Street Methodist Church in Witney on Saturday November 28.

Bath Male Choir reached the final stages of the BBC’s Last Choir Standing series in front of an audience of millions. At that time the judge Russell Watson dubbed them the ‘Wall of Sound’ and they have since sung all across the United Kingdom and last Autumn undertook a hugely successful tour of Japan.

The concert, which starts at 7.30pm, also features soloist Rebecca Reed. Rebecca is the daughter of Melanie Reed, the minister at the church. Her father Paul was a member of Bath Male Choir when the couple lived in Bath five years ago.

The founder conductor of Bath Male Choir is Grenville Jones. He leads a number of choirs in the West of England and is also founder of the Goldies UK Charity. Grenville has been interviewed on radio and television across the world and was included in the Sunday Independent Happy List earlier this year in recognition of his Goldies Charity which brightens the lives of hundreds of older people.

Rebecca began singing at the age of eight, and started furthering her classical career from the age of 13. She has participated in many concerts and fundraisers, as both a member of an ensemble and as a solo artist. Attending the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Junior Programme for three years, she was awarded Vocalist of the Year 2009.

Rebecca is delighted to share the stage with the boys from Bath once again, and hopes you enjoy what promises to be a fantastic evening!
