What's on: New season packed with fun for all at the New Theatre

It’s been a busy year at the New Theatre Oxford – and that continues with a bumper autumn season.

Visitors to the George Street venue can look forward to smash hit musicals, top class entertainment and brilliant live music from some of the best in the business – and you can find out more in the latest What’s On Guide, which is out now.

Musical lovers are in for an award-winning season. Relive the genius of Michael Jackson with Thriller Live (20 to 22 September), remember the 90s and what it was like growing up with a boyband with The Band (October 30 to November 3), get the family in the Christmas spirit with Nativity! The Musical (December 11 to December 15) or party like it’s December 1963 with our Christmas production for 2018 - Jersey Boys (December 18 to January 6, 2019)

Live music comes from Soul Legends – featuring Lemar (September 27), Richard Thompson (Oct 28), The Novello Orchestra – featuring Kerry Ellis, Ray Quinn and Lucie Jones (November 8) and Jessie J (November 17).

Welsh National Opera also return to the city with La Traviata (October 10 and 12), La Cenerentola (October 11) and War and Peace (October 13).

This season also includes A Lock In with Tuffers and Dawson (September 12), Des O Connor and Jimmy Tarbuck Live (September 23), Dave Gorman (October 3 and February 2), Jon Ronson’s Psychopath Night (October 18), Harry Hills’ Kidz Show (October 21), Brendan Cole (November 5) and An Evening With Nigella Lawson (November 13).

The choices are endless.

Theatre Director Lee Henderson, said: “As the new Theatre Director at the New Theatre Oxford, it gives me great pleasure to introduce this upcoming season of entertainment. I hope you’ll find plenty to entertain you. There is something to appeal to everyone, and we look forward to welcome visitors – both new and returning, to the theatre soon.”
