Westlife stalker, and comedian, heads to Ocelotshire

She writes a blog, hosts a podcast and is a standup comedian - Sofie Hagen seems to be limitless.

October 15 will see Danish born comedian Sofie Hagen take to Swindon Arts Centre’s stage to talk shop about estranged fathers, Westlife and potentially dead baby frogs.

Her latest tour Dead Baby Frog follows from a succession of standup appearances including her show Shimmer Shatter and Edinburgh Fringe (where she won the award for best newcomer).

Sofie has a very approachable and casual aura, making her performances very accessible, but is also hilariously cut throat and outspoken. Having seen a few online videos of her standup she could easily become most millennials new best friend.

On her blog, Sophie writes: “I tend to talk about things like sex and feminism and fatness and I love comedy and all musical theatre songs.”

One of her other brilliant abilities is to take on all things taboo and provoke an eruption of laughter amongst her audience - she is extremely likeable which enables you to identify with her.

This award winning performer is not to be missed!

Having seen Sofie live, The Guardian describe her show as: “Compelling, beautifully constructed… Hagen is a lovable guide through a tale that digs deep, but with a very light touch”.
