The course will combine lessons in technique in all three Musical Theatre disciplines, led by a troupe of talented tutors whose West End credits include roles in Starlight Express, Les Miserables, Cats, Dirty Dancing and Stepping Out.
“I am passionate about inspiring future generations,” said Daryl Back, who resides in the Oxfordshire village of Eynsham.“Whether entering a career in the arts or learning transferable skills, such as communication and creativity, I believe that theatre can teach young people to have confidence. This Easter we will be doing just that, through the disciplines of singing, acting and dancing.”
The inspiring team of creatives include David Ashley, a family favourite for Swindon pantomime fans; Damian Czarnecki, star of Denmark’s So You Think You Can Dance; and Charlie Barker, former Head of Acting on the BA Musical Theatre course at Arts Educational School, London.
At the end of the week-long course, parents will be invited to watch a demonstration of the students’ work showcasing scenes and numbers from the musicals they have studied.
Spotlight On’s Musical Theatre Easter Course takes place at Oxford High School from 18 – 22 April, 10am – 5pm. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/SpotlightOnOxford
