Welcome to the house of fun! Oxford Fun Palace returns to its very own Playhouse

Oxford Playhouse returns as the host of the fourth Oxford Fun Palace!

This year the event will be taking place  Saturday October 6, 11am to 3pm at the Burton Taylor Studio on Gloucester Street.

The Playhouse has once again partnered with a team of Oxfordshire-based organisations to bring you a day of creative and inspiring activities as part of Fun Palaces; a nationwide, free celebration of culture at the heart of community.

This year’s event is titled Intrepid Explorers, and will delve into the many realms of exploration, in partnership with The Curiosity Box, The Mill Arts Centreand Oxford Festival of the Arts.

Jet off into outer space with Oxford Playhouse, and create your very own rocket ship! Be confused and confuddled with The Curiosity Box’s concoction of optical illusions, where you can learn to make your very own galaxy in a test tube. Dare to be baffled by a trick or two with The Mill Arts Centre, in one of its magical, circus skills activity sessions. And join Oxford Festival of the Arts for more arts and crafts activities. There will also be competitions and curiosity trails, and even a soft-play safari reading corner for the really little ones.

It’s all free, and there’s no need to book! Don’t miss this exciting family fun day and your chance to get hands-on with the science behind theatre.
