Their quintessentially West Country cover of Kaiser Chief’s Ruby has ben a massive show favourite of late, as well as their hilarious hip hop version of the ubiquitous hit Combine Harvester.
This bunch of haystack-headed, not-quite-so-young lads have long paved the way for Scrumpy n’ Western - a genre packed full of double entendre, mainstream parody and a comical folk style - the perfect accompaniment to cider drinking!
The band’s new single is the story of the infamous 1921 Aveling and Porter steam roller ‘Old Rosie’ which was named after the Laurie Lee book Cider with Rosie and has been a permanent fixture at the Fair since it’s humble beginnings in 1969.
The song tells the true story of the steam roller being found in a rusty state after years of neglect and its finder’s vision to one day restore the engine and bodywork to her former glory and of the proud day when his dream become a reality as she rolls up to the Greatest Steam Show on Earth in Dorset,
The band’s new video for Old Rosie features the iconic engine based at the Weston’s Cider Mill in Much Marcle, Herefordshire. Old Rosie also gives its name to Westons leading authentic and traditional cloudy cider.
