Unleash your creative talent with a series of FREE family workshops at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery this month

A series of creative weekly workshops are being hosted at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery this month.

Taking place every Thursday morning, the activities are designed to give families the chance to engage with Swindon’s collections through a series of entertaining fun and activities.

The events kick off this Thursday on 3 August with a dinosaur workshop ‘Stegosaurus…Do You Think He Saw Us?’ where children can make their very own stegosaurus spikes, and design a dinosaur! This workshop is also a fantastic way for children to connect with Swindon’s prehistoric history.

On 10 August children can design a coat of arms and make their own crested china to take home in a wonderful workshop, ‘Breakfast like a King’.

And on 17 August ‘Reptile Ramble’ will provide a wonderful opportunity for all those reptile fans out there to learn about our gharial (fish eating crocodile) and take part in some snake crafts!

This will be followed by ‘Mummy Mania at the Museum’ on 24 August and finally, on 31 August the series will wrap up with a workshop for budding artists out there, who will be given the opportunity to create and frame their own artwork inspired by the art exhibitions.

Each workshop is £2 per child. No booking necessary, just visit reception to purchase your ticket on arrival.
