TS Theatre bring new play to Swindon's Shoebox Theatre

Wiltshire theatrical group TS Theatre are presenting their latest performance ‘Evergreen’ at the Shoebox Theatre in Swindon on Saturday 26 November.

The new play is written by Peter Hynds, who is returning to the stage after a break from the treading the boards to focus on writing the plays rather than performing in them.  He trained at Arts Ed and is known for acting and directing many productions in Swindon and further afield.  His first play, ‘Choice’, has been performed in Swindon, London and Bristol, while his second piece, #theorder completed a nationwide tour in 2014 and is due to be adapted for film later this year.

Becci Smith, who is performing alongside Peter in ‘Evergreen’, is a multi-talented performer with skills ranging from the operatic to the thespian.  She has been performing locally for years and will be well recognised by those who follow professional arts in Swindon.  Most recently she played her namesake in the critically acclaimed ‘Four Sunsets’ at Swindon Arts Centre in September 2016.

Pete’s writing is influenced by current events that audiences relate to and his style is bold, powerful and raw. Evergreen is a love story for the Tinder generation; both beautiful and brutal in equal measure. Join characters Gina and Lawrence as they discover whether the course of true love really can run smooth.

Tickets for ‘Evergreen’ are £10 and available online at www.shoeboxtheatre.org.uk. The show is for adults only.
