Truck Festival reveals second wave of artists

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer, Truck Festival – the UK’s longest running small festival – has today announced its second wave of artists to join an already impressive line-up including Deaf Havana, Hinds, The Moonlandingz, Pulled Apart by Horses, Jamie Lenman and many, many more. 

The new acts join headliners including The Libertines, The Vaccines and Franz Ferdinand at the 20th anniversary festival taking place 21 – 23 July, 2017 at Hill Farm, Steventon, Oxfordshire. 

Following rave reviews for their latest studio album “All These Countless Nights” veteran rockers Deaf Havana take to the main stage to deliver a dynamic set of hits from their impressive career to date.

Also announced today are Spanish indie rock four-piece Hinds, art-punk agitators The Moonlandingz, Pulled Apart By Horses, Jamie Lenman, The Big Moon, Honey Blood, Zak Abel, five-piece indie act Pumarosa, alternative rockers Arcane Roots and London based riot grrrl advocates Dream Wife. 

Switch Oxford will be making a triumphant return for the third year running and set to present some of the biggest and best offering in electronic music. First names announced include bass powerhouse T Q D, drum & bass act SaSaSaS, grime meisters Elijah & Skilliam, Swindle, Champion & MC Serious, Switch Residents and many more.

Actor, musician and DJ Idris Elba will also be making his way to Truck this summer, to deliver a DJ set that spans across genres, styles and generations.

Other confirmed acts include latest breakthrough Scottish four-piece VUKOVI, Bath band Bad Sounds whose single, ‘Wages’, was crowned hottest record in the world by Annie Mac, London pop duo THE RHYTHM METHOD, British pop-punks WSTR, dark-pop twosome Ardyn, North London trio Girl Ray, Kagoule, Catherine McGraph, RedFaces, SHELLS, The Night Café, The Dreaming Spires, PALM HONEY, Indigo Husk, Weirds, Kamikaze Girls, Alpha Male Tea Party and The Oxford Symphony Orchestra.

Renowned as one of the longest running small festivals in the country, Truck Festival is a small, independent, family friendly music festival taking place over the weekend of the 21 – 23 July, 2017, at Hill Farm, Steventon, Oxfordshire, OX13 6AB.

Revelers can expect an eclectic mix of live music and DJ performances from the best global talent as well as a medley of locally sourced food markets and ale stalls, Silent Discos, the Nighthawk Cinema and a family area hosting themed games, races and sandpits, and much, much more. 2017 will also welcome the return of the nations number one fitness guru and old favoutite, Mr. Motivator who’ll be spreading feel good fun with his legendary routines live from the Truck Stage. This years event has seen the greatest demand for tickets with tier one to six already sold out. A limited amount of final tier tickets are currently on sale, priced at £125.00 (inc. booking fee) for adults (Children aged 12 and under go free) and available via the festival’s official website.
