The Three Swans reopens following £1.2 million refurbishment

Hungerford Bellman, Julian Tubb, officially opened the doors to the new look Three Swans Hotel, Eatery & Coffee House in Hungerford today (11 August), following a £1.2 million refurbishment project.

Dating back nearly 400 years, The Three Swans, which was acquired last year by the award-winning Coaching Inn Group, closed for 13 weeks as it underwent a full refurbishment of the 25 bedrooms, bar, restaurant and event facilities.  Reopening today, the hotel has introduced the Company’s new Eatery & Coffee House concept, including a delicious new all-day menu with a focus on afternoon teas, cocktails and coffee, alongside a stone-baked pizza oven located in the newly refurbished courtyard.

Whilst retaining many of the property’s original features, The Three Swans has benefitted from a full refurbishment, as well as the recruitment of over 30 additional new team members, including a new General Manager, Mark Tulett.

Commenting on the reopening, General Manager Mark Tulett said: “The aim of the refurbishment was to give this historic coaching inn a new lease of life, whilst maintaining its character and appeal to the local community and visitors to Hungerford.

“We’re delighted with the results and were thrilled to invite local dignitaries, including Hungerford’s Mayor, Councillor Keith Knight, as well as Bellman and Crier of the Courts, Julian Tubb, to our official opening which give us the opportunity to show off our fresh new look and introduce our new Eatery and Coffee House to our regular and new customers.

“The hotel is well loved in the local area and we hope to build on that and return it to its former glory as the go-to place in Hungerford for family-friendly, relaxed all-day dining”

The Three Swans is located at 117 High Street, Hungerford, RG17 0LZ
