The Surfing Magazines + Special Guests at The Jericho Tavern

A brand new supergroup formed by two-thirds of The Wave Pictures and one-half of Slow Club, The Surfing Magazines have already made big waves in the short time they’ve been making music together.

Resurrecting the Jericho’s well-known music scene, The Surfing Magazines will be kicking off the new year January 13.

Packing an Americana-drenched, slacker rock sound, The Surfing Magazines’ music neatly slots between what they all make in their day-jobs. Releasing their self-titled debut album in September through legendary indie label Moshi Moshi Records (home to Hot Chip, Bloc Party, Teleman), the band have also ticked off their debut festival performance at the legendary tastemaker festival End of the Road this summer.

Clash Magazine said: “Laced with deadly charm, it wraps itself around your ear-lobes and refuses to let go.”

If that wasn’t enough, since forming The Surfing Magazines have notched up shows supporting alternative indie mainstays Wreckless Eric, Fire Dept. and Girl Ray, as well as recording a live session on BBC 6 Music for stalwart new music champion Marc Riley.

Don’t miss your chance to see this thrilling new band in the legendary Jericho Tavern.

Support for this show is still to be announced.
