Arts & Culture

At Sound Advice they’re mainly workaholics, so all the Christmas/New Year nonsense is a rather unwelcome interruption to their art – the never ending mission to supply the perfect entertainment.

They’re business is to bring joy and entertainment to audiences everywhere, but many of their clients head off to sunnier climates in December, so they’ve decided to sit back and reflect on another year of hard work done.

Sound Advice delivers major artists, great party bands, comedians, DJs and every conceivable style of entertainment for private, corporate and public events. They’ve worked with all the biggest stars ‚Äì the best newcomers and all the legends ‚Äì and can source the best live performers available, through unrivalled connections in the entertainment business.

Hugh Phillimore founded Sound Advice in 1981, starting with booking bands for the Oxford & Cambridge Summer Balls. He fast became the go-to music provider for the parties of rockstars and princes, travelling the globe with an assortment of weird and wonderful musical talent.

(He persuaded Lionel Richie to do his first private show in 1999).

The Christmas season ended with a heart-warming gala featuring those pop princes Scouting For Girls. This was their third show with these very talented chaps – they’re an awesome live combo.

In recent months happily it’s been all about the girls. After producing a stunning show with Scottish rockers Texas at Annabel’s, Sound Advice were called to serve at the Chain Of Hope Ball. Super starlet Ms Pixie Lott wowed the punters with her moves.

Frankly, if they keep putting on the calibre of shows that they have been, there won’t be a function or party in the land that doesn’t have a big name artist playing it!
