The smokey vocals of Elles Bailey returns to Newbury

Elles Bailey makes a welcome return to Arlington Arts Centre this October, bringing her unique brand of rootsy blues, country, and soulful rock, with a contemporary edge.

Her debut album Wildfire (2017) was tracked in Blackbird Studios, Tennessee, which she will be debuting at Arlington Arts Centre October 12.

Produced by Brad Nowell, ‘Wildfire’ assembled a host of Nashville’s finest, including guitarist Brent Mason and ‘Musician Hall of Famer’ Bobby Wood. Blended together back in the UK with Jonny Henderson on Hammond organ and Joe Wilkins on blistering guitar, the result is a unique, transatlantic blend of styles.

2018 continues to be a busy, successful year with Elles nominated for four different UK Blues awards, an upcoming European tour, appearances at key Country and Blues festivals, and a recent return to the studio to record some eagerly-anticipated new material.

What’s more, fate has blessed her with a ‘smoky vocal’ style that perfectly fits her music, after a stint in hospital as a child changed her voice forever. However, it is her hard work ethic that has pushed her to the top of the UK Blues scene.

“It’s a fact that very few make it to the big stage but Elles Bailey has the necessary talent, the drive, and now the product.” – Blues In Britain
