The Glee comedy club celebrates moving to The Bullingdon in Oxford with a free bike giveaway this Saturday

Oxfordshire’s comedy club, The Glee, celebrates its move to a new location with a free bike giveaway this Saturday 3 December

With the closure of their Hythe Bridge Street home in October (due to redevelopment), the club will be re-opening at The Bullingdon on Saturday 14 January 2017.

But before then, they’ll be handing out eight free bikes, to eight lucky people, on this Saturday at 5pm!

Branded in Glee colours, to claim one of these limited edition ‘Gleecyles’, all you have to do is head to The Bullingdon, on Oxford’s Cowley Road. Bikes will be handed out on a first-come-first-served basis – so there’s no tricks, tasks, or trails! The Glee

The Glee’s Director, Mark Tughan, said: “We’re very much looking forward to getting settled into our new home at The Bullingdon after six years on the other side of the city. And in the run-up to Christmas, we thought it’d be nice to mark the occasion with a giveaway!”

The Bullingdon’s Paul Williams said: “Adding regular Saturday and special comedy nights to our established line-up of music shows is very exciting, and strengthens our reputation as one of the city’s best entertainment venues.”

Promising a top-notch line-up of established and rising comedy talent every Saturday , The Glee’s opening night (14 Jan 2017) features appearances from Tom Allen, fresh from his own headline tour and supporting Sarah Millican, plus the award-winning Marlon Davis and charismatic Ellie Taylor.

Other acts lined up for the coming weeks include the hotly tipped Jamali Maddix and Paul Tonkinson (21 Jan 2017); Rhys James, from ITV2’s topical @Elevenish, and Aussie Damian Clark (28 Jan 2017); and Romesh Ranganathan touring partner Suzi Ruffell with the dark and honest Michael Fabbri (4 Feb 2017).

BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack host Nish Kumar also brings his acclaimed new solo show, Actions Speak Louder Than Words Unless You Shout The Words Really Loud, to The Glee on 2 February 2017.
