Swindon local, Steve Carr, will be walking from end to end of the UK starting on February 1st in order to raise awareness for Charities, the homeless and victims of mental health. Carr has fallen victim to both homelessness and mental health before himself and this has given him the strength and determination to make a contribution to helping others. There is no specific charity that Carr is walking the over 800 miles for; he says “I am not asking for any sponsorship or donations. I am looking to raise awareness for my charity and yours. What I would like is for you to donate to the charity of your choice and leave a message on my wall to say why you donated (Please do not leave how much you donated as this venture is not about financial gain) so that others are aware of what your charity of choice means to you and brings to others. “Mental health is a level of psychological well-being, or an absence of a mental disorder. Homelessness is the condition of people without a regular dwelling. Please feel free to add your stories, add information to help raise awareness, add reasons why you donate to your chosen charity.” Carr plans on updating his Facebook page with vlogs and blogs daily so you can track his progress. You can find more information at mindcanyon.com and his Facebook page.
