Star of Michael Michael Mcintyre's Comedy Roadshow is coming to Oxford!

One of Michael Mcintyre Comedy Roadshow’s favourites, Keith Farnan is coming to Oxford’s LOL Comedy Club!

Having appeared on BBC’s Michael Mcintyre Comedy Roadshow as well as adapting his own comedy documentary for RTE, Money, Money, Money: Keith Farnan versus the Economy, Keith has just topped an outstanding eighteen months by appearing at the Montreal Just For Laughs All Access show for the Canadian Comedy Network and Hollands highest rating comedy show, The Comedy Factory.

In America, Showtime have Keith has appeared on their new standup show, Live From Amsterdam, which brings together the best American and European comedians working today. He has performed as a stand-up all over the world, from Montreal to Amsterdam to Hong Kong. His four Edinburgh Festival shows have proved a powerful mix of the personal and the political and have sold out their runs at the major comedy festivals in the UK as well as the Soho Theatre and Royal Festival Hall in London.

Other TV credits include the Comedy Channel’s Live at the Comedy Store, RTE’s The Social, BBC 3’s Most Annoying People, BBCNI’s One Night Stand and BBC 3’s Olympics Greatest Moments. Radio appearances include BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends and BBC Scotland’s The Guessing Game with Clive Anderson as well as Colin Murphy’s Great Unanswered Questions for BBCNI. He has written for RTE’s Satirical panel show “That’s All We’ve Got Time For”. Up next is Barry Dodds - a circuit favourite and lovable Geordie who’s cheeky grin hides no end of uproarious and unpredictable stories and gags. He charms audiences nationwide, with his uniquely tailored combination of disarming wit and wry, down-to-earth observational humour. As adorable as he is funny, this brilliant comic will captivate you and make you laugh in equally dollops.

He first took to the comedy stage at the tender age of 21 he soon had audiences eating out of the palm of his hand. Using his own contrasting combination of irrepressibly cheeky and gently mischievous material, he quickly found himself taking the national circuit by storm.

A finalist in various high profile competitions such as Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol and Jongleurs Last Laugh Comedy Search, his twinkly eyed, playful demeanour disarms judging panels, industry experts and audiences alike, allowing him flirt coquettishly with topics that are traditionally a little more unusual. In summary, a funny, funny man.

In the last couple years performed at Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Cat Laughs Festival in Kilkenny, The Vodafone Comedy Festival in Dublin, The Rotterdam International Comedy Festival and several shows in Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Switzerland and Belgium.

He also supported the likes of Ricky Gervais, Katherine Ryan and Doc Brown on tour, and made appearances on Russell Howard’s Stand-Up Central and Comedy Central’s Live At The Comedy Store. Sean played the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for many years, and performed my debut hour-long show ‘Backbone’ there in 2013 and the follow-up ‘I Will Prevail’ in 2014. 2015’s show was called ‘Whatever It Takes’  which had another full run in Edinburgh and then toured around the country including a stint at the Soho Theatre in London. His latest show ‘Kamikaze’ is hitting the road in 2017 having had an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year.

And finally, LOL Comedy Club has got in Thomas Green - a UK based Australian Stand Up Comedian and actor with an interesting plot twist: he’s a supply teacher in the UK.

Green is known for having a face of elasticity, a unique story-telling style and a highly energetic stage presence. He first ignited his comedy career in 2007 when he entered Triple J’s RAW Comedy Competition. Since, Green has performed in four shows at the Adelaide Fringe, beginning with ‘Village Idiots’ (2008), before going solo with ‘Youthful Annotations’ (2012), ‘Sign of the Times’ (2013), ‘Tomfoolery’ (2014) and ‘It’s Always Greener’ (2015). He saw success in each of his solo shows, having stellar reviews, sold-out crowds and a Fringe Award nominated (Best Emerging Comedy – 2013). He took his show to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in both 2014 and 2015, again with sell-out crowds.

Green is not limited to the stage however, having hosted both breakfast and drive radio shows across 7 years on Fresh 92.7 in Adelaide, South Australia. During this time his show ’Tom and Shenay’ (later to be ‘Tom Green and Friends’) developed a following, with the popular segment ‘Teacher Tom’ becoming a fan favourite, and interviews with the likes of Zac Efron, John Jarratt and Tinie Tempah thrilled listenership. Green has also found himself in front of the camera, having landed roles on screen that have seen him work with the likes of actors David Wenham and Emily Watson (Oranges and Sunshine, 2009), director Greg McLean (Wolf Creek 2, 2013), and with music sensations Hilltop Hoods (2012) when he was cast as the male lead in their music video for hit single ‘Shredding the Balloon’. He has also been cast in numerous commercials, along with being cast in the ABC mini-series ‘Anzac Girls’ (2014) as ‘Captain Alcorn’. He has made a few appearances with the popular YouTubers RackaRacka, as Ned Stark/Boromir in ‘Lord of the Rings vs Game of Thrones’ (2014), ‘Spoiler Rage’ (2015), and as Daryl in ‘The Walking Dead vs The Last of Us’ (2015).
