It’s been 35 years now since Ian Curtis tragically departed this mortal coil.

The last time the band Transmission: The Sound Of Joy Division was invited to Swindon was to mark the one year anniversary of the sad passing of Tony Wilson back in August 2008.

But they’re here again and will be playing Level 3 on Commercial Road in Swindon on Saturday July 4.

They’re regarded as one of the leading UK tribute acts. Local support is from young up’n’coming act Sahara Heights who are gigging hard and making quite a name for themselves.

The night also marks the final time DJ Dust will be doing his REBOOT club night at Level 3. DJ Dust is going to finish with a REBOOT night that takes the club back to its Indie / New Wave roots.

And he will also be doing a special DJ DUst mix Cd of Joy Division and early New Order to give away on the night to all the folk who’ve bought a ticket.

The doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £7 in advance available from The Rolleston, Swindon Central Library and wegottickets.com.

The club night starts at 11.30pm and costs £3 entry but is free for anyone who got tickets for Transmission.
