A new chapter of visionary artwork, architectural masterpieces, and engaging entertainment has arrived in the City of Dreams, Macau. The City of Dreams is a resort and casino in Macau, China, where inspiration and wonder go hand in hand. The leading contemporary artists such as KAWS, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Erwin Wurm, Charles Petillon and the late architect Zaha Hadid gave a creative voyage of the place with four large-scale installations. The latest architectural monument is the Morpheus Hotel designed by the late visionary architect, Dame Zaha Hadid. Morpheus, a Legend Is Born Morpheus is the world’s first high-rise architectural structure built on a free-form exoskeleton frame, featuring a hollow structure. The structure is designed to look like a stylized number 8, a favoured number in Chinese culture. Designed by the late Dama Zaha Hadid and built by the gaming giant, Melco Resorts, Morpheus is the next flagship hotel of the City of Dreams. The interior is crafted, designed and curated by the renowned designer Peter Remedios. The building has a total of 772 guest rooms, suites, villas, executive lounge, a sky pool situated 130 meters above ground, an in-house Spa Butler concept, as well as gaming rooms and on top of the floors, VIP villas. The hotel also serves as a living gallery featuring contemporary art by artists KAWS, Jean-Michel Othoniel, and Thilo Heinzmann. Melco Resorts had announced that it plans to upgrade the gaming areas and non-gaming attractions in the next 12 months. The gaming areas contain American styled casino tables that do not include online poker and poker tournaments. The City of Dreams The City of Dreams is a worldwide leading destination for casino gaming and stage entertainment. There are three known casinos, The City of Dreams Casino, Hard Rock gaming area, and Signature Club Casino. The newest hotel, Morpheus will not feature new tables in its gaming rooms, instead of by the year 2019, the chief director of Melco Resorts hopes for new casino partnerships for the area. By the year 2021, a new virtual reality zone will be opened at one of the hotel’s floors. The City of Dreams carries international renowned artwork, iconic architectural buildings and the largest collection of fashion brands. When comes to flexibility, no other casino will provide the experience as The City of Dreams. On its first level, the casino has a gaming area of 159,000 square feet, 270 gaming tables featuring American-styled tables games, like Blackjack and Roulette. The gaming machines run games starting from slots to traditional Asian favourites which give players of all ages a wide variety of choices, themes as well as progressive games.
