Passenger commemorated his current single ‘What You’re Waiting For’ being playlisted at Radio 2 by sharing a new live solo acoustic performance of the song, which was filmed at Metropolis Studios in London. The track is the latest single to be taken from his current album ‘Songs For The Drunk and Broken Hearted’, which debuted at #2, was named Radio 2’s ‘Album of the Week’ and has amassed almost 35 million streams since its release in January.

The singer-songwriter, real name Mike Rosenburg, then had a big Stateside moment just a few days later when he performed ‘Sword From The Stone’ as part of the #PlayAtHome series for ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’. The song’s Gingerbread Mix by Passenger’s friend and former touring partner Ed Sheeran has been a hit at US radio, reaching the Top 10 at Triple A and Top 20 at Hot AC Radio.

Both recorded during the same session, the two songs demonstrate Passenger’s masterly command at captivating audiences using nothing more than his guitar, his expressive voice and his poignant songwriting. The videos were shot, filmed and edited by Nic Minns, whose credits include Lewis Capaldi and Ed SheeranPassenger’s regular producer Chris Vallejo mixed the audio.

Passenger has made livestream performances a priority throughout lockdown, with highlights including a special film captured at the Royal Albert Hall and a full solo acoustic performance of ‘Songs For The Drunk and Broken Hearted’. He’s set to embark upon his full UK and Ireland headline tour since the album’s release by playing the following shows:
